Privacy policy
The Wireface app runs on your computer and sends us nothing. This website has no analytics, no tracking and no cookies of its own. We only get personal information when you buy a licence or contact us.

Who we are
Wireface Desktop, Wireface core and wireface.dev are made by Compsmart ("we", "us"). We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law. For anything about your information, email support@compsmart.co.uk.
This website
- Server logs. Like most web servers, ours records each request: your IP address, the page, the time and your browser's description of itself. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and delete them when they're no longer needed for that.
- Fonts. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which sees your IP address. Google's privacy policy applies.
- No tracking. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and the site sets no cookies.
Buying a commercial licence
Payments are handled by Stripe (card payments) or PayPal. We never see your full card details. We receive your name, email address, your organisation's name, billing details, what you bought and, if you give it, your GitHub username.
- Why: to supply your licence and access to the source code, send receipts and invoices, and keep the accounts the law requires.
- Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations for accounting and tax records.
- How long: for as long as you hold the licence and, for accounting records, as long as UK law requires (normally six years).
- GitHub: we use your GitHub username only to give your account access to the source code repositories. GitHub's privacy statement applies to your use of GitHub.
Contacting us
Messages sent with the contact form are delivered to our email by FormSubmit. We receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply and to deal with what you asked. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you. We keep the conversation for as long as it's useful for that, and delete it when it isn't.
The Wireface app
Wireface Desktop runs on your own computer. It sends nothing to us: no analytics, no usage data, no crash reports. Speech recognition happens on your computer. Your settings, conversations, logs and API keys are kept in its folder on your computer.
The app connects to other services only when you set them up, and what it sends goes to them, not to us. Their own privacy policies apply:
- Your AI agent (Claude Code, OpenCode or Codex) and the model provider you use with it, which get what you say to the agent and what it works on.
- The realtime voice (Google Gemini or OpenAI), if you add a key: your words and a summary of the agent's work.
- ElevenLabs, if you add a key: the text of replies, to turn into speech.
- Twilio, if you turn on the phone line: calls and text messages to and from your number, and Cloudflare if you use its tunnel for live calls.
- Downloads: speech and face models from GitHub and Google, and model lists from models.dev, which see your IP address.
Who else handles your information
We don't sell or share your information for marketing. Service providers process it for us only to run the things above: our web host, Stripe, PayPal, FormSubmit, our email provider and GitHub. Some of them are in the United States; where your information leaves the UK, they protect it with safeguards the law recognises, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or send it to you or someone else in a portable form. Email support@compsmart.co.uk; we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
